Contact Us About the Clean Air Act

Before contacting the EPA about your question, please review the information provided on the Clean Air Act site and provided on this page.

Is your question about…

  • general environmental or health concerns? Local and state governments often have ordinances or regulations that address health concerns and many environmental programs have been delegated to other federal, tribal, state or local agencies and they have primary responsibility for them. As a result, it is often, it is most useful to contact your local (city or county) or state environmental or health agency first. Additionally, our EPA Regional Office Emergency Response Staff may be able to assist you in determining how any environmental or health risks are being addressed.  You can find contact information on our community emergency response page.
  • getting agency records?  Copies of most agency records must be obtained through the FOIA process; please do not request agency records using this form.

  • commenting or reading comments on a proposed rule? If so, go directly to regulations.gov, and follow the online instructions for submitting comments.
