Dieses Merkblatt zeigt verschiedene Möglichkeiten, wie die Bevölkerung sich selbst und ihre Umgebung schützen kann, bevor ein Sturm eintritt. Die atlantische Hurrikansaison beginnt jedes Jahr am 1. Juni und endet am 30. November. Die pazifische Hurrikansaison dauert vom 15. Mai bis 30. November.
